Aliv Ladoo

Aliv (Garden Cress Seeds) Ladoo are extremely rich in proteins, calcium & iron. These ladoos are prepared as healthly snack during winter season in Maharashtrian households. These are made with basic ingredients like coconut & jaggery.




Ingredients


1/2 cup aliv

1-2 cups Coconut water /plain water to soak

2 cups freshly grated coconut

1 cup jaggery

2 tsp ghee

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

Method


Soak Aliv in coconut water or plain water for 4-5 hours.

Heat ghee in a pan. Add soaked aliv seeds, coconut, jaggery & mix well.


Cook the mixture till it starts leaving the sides of the pan. Now add cardamom powder.

Turn off the flame & allow it to cool. When it is luke warm, prepare ladoos of the mixture.


Aliv ladoos will be soft in texture even after cooling. Delicious Aliv ladoos are ready.
