Raksha Bandhan or Narali Poornima makes use of coconut in the preparation of sweets. Choco coconut burfi is simple recipe with dual flavours of coconut mava and chocolate
Ingredients
2 cups grated coconut
100 grams mava
1 cup sugar
2/3 tsp cocoa powder
1tbsp fresh cream
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Dry fruits for garnish
Method
In a pan take coconut & saute for 2 minute. Add sugar and let it melt.
Now add mava and saute till it melts. Now add some fresh cream and mix wel. Mix well till the mixture begins to leave the sides of pan. Add cardamom powder.
Grease a tray with ghee & pour half the mixtur. in remaining half mix cocoa powder and turn off the flame. Arrange the chocolate layer on top of the mava layer. Press well so that it takes the shape of the tin.
Carefully add dry fruits and press so that it sticks to the mixture. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature.
Cut according to desired shape. Choco coconut burfi is ready to serve.
