Garlic Shev is a delicious snack for Diwali and it is also great as tea time snack. This a simple recipe made with besan & rice flour. As the name suggests garlic shev has distinct flavour of garlic.
Ingredients
2 cups besan
1 cup rice flour
7-8 garlic flakes
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp red chilly powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp hot oil
Oil for frying
Method
Take besan & rice flour. Add turmeric , red chilly , salt to it. Grind garlic flakes to paste & taste to this mixture.
Pour hot oil over it. Crumble the mixture & slowly add water to make soft but firm dough.
Heat oil in pan. Attach medium hole disc to the chakli press. Press the garlic shev directly in hot oil in circular manner. Keep the heat to medium hot.
When one side is done flip & fry from the other side. Remove the shev on absorbent paper. Cool completely & store in air tight container.
