Ninaav means without any name. This sweet has no name but tastes extremely yummy. It is CKP festive sweet prepared at the end of Shrawan month till the previous day of Ganesh Chaturthi. It is an unique combination of gram flour, jaggery & coconut milk.
Here I have used the baking method instead of the traditional way of cooking. It cooks faster with less effort.
Ingredients
1 cup Gram flour (Besan)
1/4 cup wheat flour
2 tbsp ghee
1 1/2 cups grated jaggery
3 cups coconut milk
Cardamom powder
Sliced Almonds for garnish
Procedure
On slow heat roast besan & wheat flour with ghee till it starts giving the roasted aroma. The colour should be golden browish.
Turn off the heat. Take grated jaggery & mix. Then put freshly squeezed coconut milk. Adjust the quantity of coconut milk depending on the consistency of the mixture ( also the thickness of milk). At times it may be required more or less than the given measure. Sprinkle cardamom powder for flavour.Garnish with sliced almonds.
Preheat oven at 160 C for 10 minutes. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Cool it before serving.Cut into square pieces.Ninaav is ready to eat.
