Tava Pulav is another famous street side snacks relished by everyone. Onions , Tomatoes, carrots, bell peppers stir fried in butter and mixed with popular Pav bhaji masala.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup Basmati Rice
2 large chopped onions
2 large chopped tomatoes
2 carrots cut in cubes
1/2 cup boiled green peas
1 green capsicum cut in cubes
1 tsp red chilly powder
2 tsp Pav Bhaji masala
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp Butter
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
Chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Method
Soak rice in water for 30mins & then drain. Heat oil in pan.When the oil is hot add half of ginger garlic paste & rice.Mix well.Pour boiling hot water (double the quantity of rice ).Add some salt & cover & cook for about 7-8 mins.
Now take oil in another pan.Add cumin seeds,ginger garlic paste & stir well.Then add onions,tomatoes & let the tomatoes cook for a while.
Then add ginger garlic paste ,red chilly powder & pav bhaji masala.Now mix the carrots & cover & cook for 5 mins.Now add the chopped capsicum & green peas to it & cook for 2 mins.Add salt to taste.
All the veggies are cooked now.Then mix the cooked rice to the veggies .Garnish with coriander leaves & serve hot.Squeeze a dash of lemon if required. Tava pulav is ready within minutes !!
